Since life doesn't always go according to plan, and overdrafts sometimes do occur, Old Missouri Bank's overdraft options are designed with your convenience in mind.

Overdraft Privilege (ODP)

As our standard overdraft service, your overdrafts may be approved if you have insufficient funds in your checking account (if your account is eligible for this service). There is no fee to add Overdraft Privilege to your account and no fee if you never use the service. If an overdraft does occur, you will be charged a NSF (non-sufficient funds) fee of $30.00 each time we pay an overdraft. If you incur a NSF fee, you must repay or cover this fee as soon as possible.

Eligible Accounts:

Overdraft Privilege Service is usually extended only to accounts in good standing. An account in good standing exhibits, but is not limited to, the following characteristics:

  • The account demonstrates consistent deposit activity;
  • The customer is not in default on any loan obligation to us;
  • The customer's account is not the subject of any legal or administrative order or levy, such as bankruptcy or a tax lien; and;
  • The customer has completed and signed an Opt-In form.

If you choose to NOT Opt-In, Overdraft Privilege may pay these items:

  • Checks you write and checks initiated by online Bill Pay
  • ACH electronic payments for bills automatically deducted from your account
  • Recurring debit card transactions, such as a monthly membership or subscription
  • If you choose NOT Opt-In, your Overdraft Privilege will not cover one-time debit card transactions or ATM withdrawals. These transactions will be declined at the point of sale or at the ATM when there are not sufficient funds in your account to complete the transaction.

If you Opt-In, Overdraft Privilege pays these items:

  • Checks you write and checks initiated by online Bill Pay
  • ACH electronic payments for bills automatically deducted from your account
  • Recurring debit card transactions, such as a monthly membership or subscription
  • One-time debit card purchases
  • Cash withdrawals from the ATMs
  • One-time online card payments including utilities, online shopping and reservations
  • If you Opt-In, your Overdraft Privilege will cover one-time debit card transactions or ATM withdrawals. These transactions would be approved at the point of sale or at the ATM when there are not sufficient funds in your account to complete the transaction and you may be charged a NSF Paid Item Fee.

Enroll today by completing an "Opt-In Consent Form."

To add Overdraft Privilege to your account, please read this notice (PDF), then return the signed notice to Old Missouri Bank or call us at 417-869-9000. Participation in Overdraft Privilege is not mandatory. You may opt-out of the service at any time by notifying one of our customer service representatives.

Automatic Transfer Overdraft Protection

Automatic Transfer Overdraft Protection allows you to link another Old Missouri Bank account (such as a savings**, money market** or even another checking account) to your primary checking account.

Funds automatically transfer from your secondary account to your primary account (up to the available balance in your secondary account) to cover most overdrafts. There is a $5.00 fee for each automatic transfer. To open a savings or money market account, please visit an Old Missouri Bank branch or call 417-869-9000.

NOTE: if an electronic transaction requires authorization at the time of the transaction (e.g. point of sale, ATM and debit card transactions), the authorization will be based on the available balance of the primary checking account, not the available balance of the secondary account.

*Subject to credit approval.

**Savings and Money Market accounts are subject to limitations on the number of withdrawals.
